Mindful made co. was dreamed up one day after Mallory birthed her magical babygirl and realized the lack of postpartum support in the US. Although she is very grateful for such an amazing support team, like many other mamas, she struggled with intense postpartum anxiety, feeling alone even when she wasn't, and overwhelming tasks of balancing motherhood/work/life/marriage and all the things.
After many chats on Instagram & real life, and hearing similar and more struggles, she decided something needed to be done. There's a huge gap between pregnancy and the 4th trimester, and maybe even before that, but the lack of support for postpartum is huge. Although a subscription box is not nearly the complete answer, it is definitely a start. It's a little something to help new mamas feel empowered and feel like their old self, while healing mind, body, and soul. It's a little something to give mamas in the thick of it some self-care and mindful moments.
Becoming a mom feels like a whole new identity, but that doesn't mean the human that was there before isn't still there. Don't forget about her/them. Mamas can't take care of everyone if they don't take care of themselves first, and so often we need a reminder and a push for that to happen.
Mental health is an important aspect of mindful made boxes. Each box contains important helpful resources, to point moms or partners in the right direction. Many people don't know what to look for or where to seek help, and this offers a guiding light in the right direction.
Postpartum is the part that no one really talks about. We enter motherhood overwhelmed with endless baby products (way more than a tiny baby will ever use), but we often forget about ourselves/the mom, when this is such a crutial chapter of healing and change.
Mallory became a mama in 2020, in the middle of a pandemic when emotions were high and online shopping was prime. Not only that, but convenience is super important in the fourth trimester, and she realized it would be so much easier if everything was just delivered straight to your door.
She is an expert in health & wellness, a graphic designer and marketing strategist, certified in functional nutrition, self taught yoga practicer, and passion for all things mindful living. Most of all she's a mother, and this new role has given her a whole new purpose and filled a hole she didn't even know existed. She loves helping and supporting other mamas in this journey, and is always here for some good convos about motherhood or baby yoga.
